Shout out to Councillor Marcus Pearl

Shout out to Councillor Marcus Pearl – City of Port Phillip, who has voluntarily taken a 50% pay cut due to the COVID -19. He is setting an example to councillors around Victoria about how to contribute to the council budget crisis.

May 6 2020 …a zero rate rise option to the City of Port Phillip’s 20/21 Budget. Only Cr Pearl and Cr Andrew Bond supported this amendment. For any Council to put up its rates charges in the current environment is appalling, and is being tone deaf to the current plight of the community that is hurting.
