The traditional role of Council is to
look after the place NOT the populace.
It’s time to get back to basics and vote back a sensible, more efficient council free of politicians and vested interest groups that won’t squander your money on community issues that are already being taken care of by our State & Federal governments.
Maintaining community assets such as roads, footpaths, parks, rubbish collection, retail precincts, safer and drug free streets, these are the key areas council needs to focus on and not be sidetracked by divisive and self serving political agendas pandering to minorities.
If elected our independent Councillors will advocate for:-
IMMEDIATE RATES REDUCTION – Without cutting any services
REDUCE (850) COUNCIL STAFF NUMBERS – Review & trim headcount via efficiencies
STOP THE DUPLICATION OF STATE & FEDERAL SERVICES – NO MORE double dipping our Council rates. Hold them accountable for what they are responsible for:
GREATER COMMUNITY SAFETY – Clean up the crime, drugs, street campers, hooning & anti-social behaviour. Make our streets safe again.
MORE SENSIBLE STREET INFRASTRUCTURE – Better planning to better protect all road users bikes, cars, pedestrians & better parking availability
GREATER COUNCIL TRANSPARENCY – Less council secrecy, greater community engagement & more efficient access to council services
PROTECT OUR HERITAGE – Stop over-development and crowding. Protect our precious, unique and rare homes being demolished by activists seeking to replace them with high density social housing. Some far-left candidates have pledged to do this
