Port Phillip Matters
4 April 2026
The team at Residents of Port Phillip hopes that everyone is enjoying quality time with family and friends whilst persevering through fuel shortages over the Easter break.
In this month’s edition of Port Phillip Matters, transport-related topics are particularly appropriate, and we take a close look at genuine progress that is being made in improving road safety in our community as well as at some counterproductive Council attempts to impose safety regulations and unneeded bike infrastructure. We even explore the thrills and spills of sailing on Albert Park Lake! We also present a deep dive into the financial commitments engendered by the recently redeveloped EcoCentre as a case study in how some “pet projects” can end up draining resources away from more pressing needs over a very long period of time.
