As a community-based volunteer organisation, we only exist to support you, but we do so only through the generous donation of people and businesses. With your help, Residents of Port Phillip is seeking to elect at least five like-minded Councillors who will put residents first, reduce rates by cutting wasteful spending and finding efficiencies.

Join us on from 6:30 pm on Thursday 30 July to be entertained by Dave Hughes, hear updates from Councillors Beti Jay, Rod Hardy and Bryan Mears.  It will be a night to enjoy delicious food, wines, beers and soft drinks. We have many great prizes in our raffle, silent and live auctions.

Our community group helped to elect two councillors in 2020 and three councillors in 2024. Your contribution will help us to continue to advocate for residents and to campaign for more like-minded candidates to be elected to Council to represent you.

List of Achievements

Highlighted below are issues that we have successfully advocated for on behalf of residents, ratepayer and businesses:

• Removing 39 km of unnecessary and dangerous pop-up bike lanes
• Stopping the removal of 120 car parks and installation of separated bike lanes in Inkerman Street
• Stopping removal of two lanes of vehicle traffic and installation of separated bike lanes in Kerferd Road.
• Installing traffic management infrastructure at dangerous intersections like Park and Langridge Streets.
• Removal of the temporary lane closure on Canterbury Road near Fitzroy Street that blocked traffic flow.
• Improving community safety by amending local encampment laws
• Advocating for revitalisation of our once iconic hospitality and shopping strips
• Stopping a public toilet at near the entrance of St Kilda Park Primary School
• Voting against Council rates increases when most councillors supported rates rises that benefits council employees
• Protecting heritage buildings
