Is there Light at the End of the Tunnel?

A lot has been happening in the City of Port Phillip Council, and there is some progress in the right direction – perhaps some light is appearing at the end of a long tunnel.

In this edition of Port Phillip Matters, we do a “dumpster dive” into progress on a more cost-effective waste collection programme and review some best practices on cost reduction from the Mornington Shire and on delivering core services well from the Bendigo local government areas. We also remind our readers to make submissions on community safety to Council by Sunday 2 November and to sign the petition showing support for stiffening camping laws, and we point out some obfuscation on the budget on the part of the Mayor of Port Phillip.
